Lindley CE Infant School

At Lindley CE Infant School, our Computing curriculum is designed to help every child grow, learn, and shine as confident and responsible users and creators of technology. Through a carefully sequenced progression of skills, children develop their understanding of computer science, digital literacy, and information technology, learning to program, create digital content, and use technology purposefully in real-life contexts. Guided by our values of Respect, Friendship, and Trust, pupils collaborate, solve problems, and build resilience through trial, error, and debugging. Our curriculum is built around three key “Big Ideas”: understanding and applying algorithms and computational thinking, creating and using digital media and technology, and staying safe and responsible online. Through this approach, children develop creativity, independence, and critical thinking, gaining the confidence and skills to not only consume technology but to become thoughtful and capable digital creators in an ever-changing world
